Pathfinder Friends

Greetings from The Pathfinders.

It has been so long since our last newsletter.  Hope this finds everyone doing well.

There's been a lot going on with us.  You may remember that Brian is an Evangelist.  He left in December so that he could start doing some evangelist and solo work.  Since that time, we have been auditioning folks and the Lord has blessed us with a new lead singer.

We want to welcome Gary Russell to The Pathfinders.  Gary is from Charlotte NC which is great because it makes it so much easier to practice.  He is an awesome singer.  Although Gary has never sang in a gospel group before, he has been singing in his church.  I'm not going to tell you too much more, because I am going to have Gary send out a newsletter sometime next week and include his testimony.  Thanks to Gary and his eagerness and desire to serve the Lord, we are starting to get busy.  This past weekend he sang his first concerts with us.  We were in Marion NC on Saturday night at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.  What an awesome service we had.  Then Sunday, we sang at Gary's church, Steele Creek Presbyterian in Charlotte NC.  We were amazed at the number of folks who came to this 4:00 service.  We are so proud for Gary that his church is supporting him.  We have a photo shoot coming up in 2 weeks, so it won't be long until you'll be able to see Gary on our website.

We do have a very special prayer request.  In 1993, the Lord blessed us at Shady Brook Baptist with 13 baby girls in our church.  One of those beautiful babies was Heather Siebert.  Heather was involved in a very bad car accident 2 weeks ago.  The bad thing is that she was hurt very bad and has some major life threatening injuries.  The good thing, is that she is alive and that we serve an awesome God who can get her through this.  We ask you to remember this beautiful 16 year old girl and her parents as they go through this very hard time in their lives.  Heather has a long recovery time ahead, but she has so many people who love her and are praying for her.

Now that we finally have a replacement for Brian, we have started booking quite a few concerts.  However....there are quite a few dates left.  Please keep us in mind as you and your church start scheduling special services.  We would love the opportunity to come and worship with you.

The Pathfinders are also in the process of replacing our van that was stolen and will be going back into the studio sometime in July to start our new CD.  Can't wait for you to hear some of the awesome songs that will be on this recording.

Hope you enjoy this special holiday weekend coming up.  If you see someone who is in the military or has been in the military, be sure to thank them for fighting for our country so that we can have our Independence.
