Newsletters

Pathfinder Friends

Merry Christmas from The Pathfinders.

My goodness, it has been a long time since I sent out a newsletter.  For that I am very sorry.

Hope everyone is doing well.  I thought I'd take a moment to recap everything that's happened the past few months.

We have had some wonderful services.  In addition to our regular concerts we had the opportunity to be a part of the Homecoming service for our friends Together 4 Him from Columbia SC.  This female trio does an awesome job.  If you're in the SC area, be sure to look them up.  I know you'll enjoy their music and ministry.  Last week, Dearl and I had the privilege of doing a live tv show in Augusta SC with our friends The Shireys.  We had a great time.  It was like a Gaither Homecoming special.  There were about 15 groups there and we all got to sing a few of our songs and then we all sang together in a big Christmas Choir.  This was a pretty cool thing for us to get to do.  We've made some new friends and got to spend some time with folks we've sung with in the past.

Dearl is doing well. He's been feeling ok, just a little run down.  He just became a grandpa again (#6). Baby Taylor was born last week and is doing very well.  Ryliegh who is 2 years old is loving her new sister.

I am in the process of changing positions within the bank and appreciate your prayers.  Sometimes we just need a change and I am trying to move into another part of the bank that will not require me to work on weekends so that we can get back to singing more than we had been.

On a sad note for us, but a good note for Brian, he has resigned from The Pathfinders.  After much prayer, Brian is pursuing a solo ministry and an evangelistic ministry which will give him the opportunity to preach again.  We have enjoyed singing with Brian and we're going to miss him.  Remember him and his family in your prayers as he starts this new ministry.

Obviously, with Brian leaving we are interviewing male lead singers to take over his position.  If you know of anybody who may be interested please have them contact us.

As we end 2009 we want to thank each of you who have prayed for us and who have helped our ministry in any way.  It's been a busy year for each of us personally.  We are excited about 2010 and hope to be very busy singing.  We're anxious to get our focus back on The Pathfinders and spreading the gospel in song.  If you can use The Pathfinders at your church in 2010, please give us a call.  We'd love to come and worship with you.

It's our prayer that each of you have a safe and Merry Christmas.  As you celebrate the holidays remember that one tiny little child came to earth just for you.  That He loved you enough to give His life just for you, and that He has promised to come back just for you.  Don't get so involved with the hustle and bustle of the holiday that you forget the reason that we celebrate.

We love you all and look forward to seeing you in 2010.

In HIS Service,

Dawn

The Pathfinders
