Pathfinder Friends

Happy New Year Friends,

2009 was pretty interesting.  We released 3 songs to the radio and they all made the National Charts.  They didn't stay there long but they made it.  We also had the number 1 and number 2 song (at the same time) on the National Fan Charts.  We had the opportunity to go on a cruise and take some wonderful friends with us.  We sang at the SGM Fan Fair and at the National Quartet Convention.  Personally, Dearl had a new home built and I bought my first home. I have experienced some changes in my job that prevented us from singing on Saturdays.  We had our van stolen, but we kept going.  Brian left, and came back and has left again.  The first time was due to his job.  We prayed he would lose the job (and get a better one) and he did.  This time he has left to go into a Solo Ministry where he can also do some Evangelistic work.  We weren't as busy singing as we normally are, but it was because we had so much going on personally.

Now....it's 2010 and we are ready and raring to go.  This year we are focusing 100% on our ministry and we're excited.  We don't have a lot of concerts on the books yet, but we know that God will provide.  We are looking forward to a busy year.  I am still praying that God will move me into another position within the bank that will allow me to have weekends off so that we can be more flexible with our work.  We are planning on going back into the studio to record a new project.  I can't wait for this.  Just a hint....we're taking a bluegrass song and giving it a little touch of progressive southern gospel and I know you'll enjoy it.

Currently we have one of our songs "I Will Do It For You" playing as the Make It Or Break It song in Gospel Radio.  We need you to vote.  If there are enough votes to "make it", this song will automatically go into rotation on the radio.  That means more people will here our testimony song and will want to hear the message that The Pathfinders has to give. I have listed the instructions to vote at the bottom of the page.

As you know we are still auditioning to fill Brian's vacancy in the group.  There have been quite a few to post for this position and we are praying that God will direct us and help us to make the right choice for The Pathfinders.  If you know of anybody who may be interested, please send him our way.  We are looking for a male lead vocalist who can sing parts.  He must be a born again Christian and must be willing to travel weekends and practice during the week.

We need you to call us or email us with a contact number for your church or any special events that you have.  We need to schedule concerts and we want to come and meet you all again, face to face.

Our website is going to go thru some major changes in the next little while, so you can always email us at the address below.

So... to recap the newsletter we need your help with 3 things:

  1. Pray for The Pathfinders that God will bless this ministry in 2010, that He will send us the right singer and that He will open doors for us to spread the gospel.
  2. Vote for the "Make It or Break It" song.  Directions below.
  3. Email us your contact information for your church or just call and schedule us to come and visit.

We love you all and pray that you have a Safe and Happy New Year.

In HIS Service,

Dawn and Dearl
