The Pathfinders Welcome New Member Brian Dockins
GASTONIA, North Carolina - The Pathfinders, one of Southern Gospel’s rising talents, are pleased to announce the addition of Brian Dockins as the group’s new lead singer.
Brian is originally from Greenville, South Carolina and is an ordained minister. He has been singing gospel music for over 17 years. He began singing with The Southerns Quartet before forming his own group, Koinonia. Most recently, Brian sang lead for The Evangelaires.
Brian says, “I have known since I was a child that I wanted to be in gospel music, because anytime there was a crowd around, I wanted to sing and entertain them. So here I am singing the best music I could be singing and having a ball. I am very excited about all the doors that are opening up for The Pathfinders and am glad to be part of this group.”
“We feel very honored to have Brian as part of The Pathfinders. His dynamic lead vocals will help us move in the vocal direction our ministry is going,” says Dearl Lemons of The Pathfinders.
Dockins replaces Jay Anderson who left the group earlier this year.
Fans can check out this new version of The Pathfinders at the National Quartet Convention next week. The Pathfinders will be performing on the Artist Spotlight Showcase on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. The group will also be performing on the Southern Spin Entertainment Showcase on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Canterbury Room of the Executive Inn (East).
The group is currently preparing to enter the studio to record their highly anticipated new recording. More information on the new album will be forthcoming.
